What makes me happiest is contributing to others and sharing how to create our lives through self-love... but I didn't know where I could share my message.
3. How do you continue to live an aligned and stress-free life with the freedom to do the things that mean the most to you - without panicking about $?
Once I decided that hosting retreats and gathering people together was the obvious answer I was stuck - I had no idea how to do it without already having a following!
How was I able to solve all of those problems and host successful retreat after successful retreat without having a following and losing money?
Most people think they need to have a following before they can host a retreat. That has "Host a retreat" stay in dreamland forever for most people.
- I spent years trying to build a following, putting in time, effort and energy, but none of my success came from those efforts.
- 90% of the attendees from my first 8 retreats were people I'd never met before!
- Only one person from the picture on the right was someone I'd met before day 1 of the retreat.
There are several strategies I used but the most important where these 2:
1) I knew - with every ounce of my being that what I was offering was valuable and that people were going to love it.
2) I believed in myself and wanted a certain type of lifestyle enough to take a risk - best risk I ever took!

3. A desire to travel more and be willing to do the research to find the right places.
This excited me - there were so many places I wanted to see! This also never felt like work!
And now, 8 years later, I've hosted 30 successful, profitable and memorable retreats
I made a lot of mistakes and learnt the hard way...
